Les illustrations de Greg Hildebrandt & Tim Hildebrandt ("The Brothers Hildebrandt") pour les cartes Seasons Past, Second Harvest, Elvish Harbinger, Explore, Treebeard, Eldest of Ents, Abyssal Persecutor et Tempt with Discovery, de l'édition The Lord of the Rings Commander Decks, ont précédemment été utilisées pour illustrer le calendrier J.R.R. Tolkien de 1976 paru aux éditions Ballantine Books (voir aussi cette anecdote et celle-ci).
